Some of the PDG+ crew hung out at the annual fund raising event at Jane Phillips Medical Center this past Friday night. The theme this year was MASH....the TV show. It was a great time and the event raised over $100,000 for continuing education at the hospital.

We have just added two new sites to the search in Cyclo.ps.....Flickr® and stock.xchng®. We are adding new sites soon as well as some really cool new features in the Lightbox like the ability to publish a Lightbox to a web page with a unique URL where clients can give ratings and feedback on each picture right on the page. Should be super slick!

Cyclo.ps celebrated his first full day of life as beta code on Tuesday and did very well. According to our stats, the site received just under 6,000 unique visitors from over 90 countries! Not too bad for a beta site with no official marketing. We have received tons of positive feedback from people and are excited to add more stock sites soon and new features. Keep checking back and thanks for a great start!

Just got word today that the new PDG+creative self-promo brochure was selected as a winner in the 2008 American Graphic Design Award competition. For more than 40 years, Graphic Design USA has sponsored national design competitions that spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals. The American Graphic Design Awards is the biggest and broadest of this type.
For a fourth straight year, the competition saw a remarkable 10,000+ entries; of these, only a highly selective 15 percent are recognized with this Award of Excellence.
Along with this honor, PDG's work will be published in the design annual which is seen by an estimated 100,000+ creative and marketing decision makers. The work will also be featured on the gdusa.com website.

Well, the time has finally come to show the world our beautiful bundle of monster code known as Cyclops. Cyclops is PDG+'s own secret little project we have been working on for a while now and we are releasing it today as a Beta site.
He Sees All!
What is Cyclops you ask? I am glad you asked. Cyclops is in simple terms..."Google for stock photos sites." It allows users to enter their search term once and get results from stock photo sites in one easy to use interface. We are currently searching 5 sites, but will be adding to this list on a continuos basis. The current sites include, iStockphoto®, Fotolia®, Shutterstock®, BigStockPhoto™, and Photos.com™.
Another huge benefit of using Cyclops is the ability to have a light box that you can build using images from all the sites we search. This is big help when you have a big project and you need to collect the search results in one location. The light box will also allow you to print out results in a nicely tagged contact sheet. Again, another benefit in the creative workflow.

This project was conceived out of our own frustrations with searching across all the stock sites. As a creative agency, we use stock sites on a daily basis. We saw Cyclops as a way to make our life easier. We think it is going to be a hit with other creatives as well.
